Peony Command Performance.

Hollingsworth, 1996. This is a very large, fragrant, bomb double. The massive buds open to striking cardinal red petals with plenty of substance and blooms to 8 inches in diameter. Medium to tall bushes have sturdy stems but often need support to hold up the heavy blooms. We wrap green garden string triple around the bush about  14″-18″ off the ground. Some people prefer metal hoops or rings but for us the string does the trick and can head for the compost pile along with the stems, leaves and other debris in the fall. This early to mid-season bloomer is popular as a cut flower and as such is grown at flower farms for delivery to florists locally or to be shipped out. NOTE: Only 3 left for 2023.
