Lilac Monge
Registered in 1913. A single, 9″ long, magenta to deep purple bloom, on a 8′-12′ tall bush that averages 8 feet wide. Hardy to -40 ° so will hold well from mid-Vermont into northern NY and into lower Canada and to the east. Vermonters love purple, fragrant lilacs and they choose this one for those reasons. Hummingbirds and butterflies love them too.
