Hydrangea Annabelle

McDaniel 1960. Arborescens. Huge blooms start out lime green, then change to white. This hydrangea was originally discovered in the woods near Anna, Illinois. Although still offered,  more recent hybridizing has led to Incrediball, with slightly larger blooms. An excellent hydrangea for planting along driveways or spaced along a fence line with various perennial flowers in front. No mail order on hydrangeas. Photo thanks to Spring Meadows.
