J&E Stratton, 1996. A Vanilla Cream sport. Thick, creamy gold leaves with a wide, dark green margin. Light lavender flowers. Forms a dense mound. This has always been on George’s “must have” list even though he still hasn’t planted one in the display garden.  An outstanding border plant. Small, yes, but a good grower, hence a good front of the border plant. Alays in limited availability. Shop early.
