Tony Avent 1995. ‘Hirao Elite  X  August Moon’  A medium-large yellow hosta, deeply veined, vigorous grower that produces 26″ scapes with light purple flowers. It can handle full sun as long as it’s kept evenly moist. The mature plant has a flat habit with leaves on leaves with a very noticeable,round plant appearance. Early spring it is a knockout with its yellow color which changes to chartreuse by the end of July.
