John Gruellemans/Wayside 1964/AHS 1986. Origin of plantaginea x sieboldiana. Green leaves, a bit shiny. Flowers late August into September here in Marshfield, VT. 34″ scapes, white flowers, very fragrant. Handles sun and drought so as a late bloomer when gardeners might forget its care, it still looks fine. Our experience is  that customers will arrive asking “What’s that late hosta with the fragrant white flowers, I want it?”
