Doug Lohman/Mark Zilis 1999. Dark green, lance shaped, and very shiny leaves 5″ long X 1.5″ wide. 20″ bright red scapes and bluish-purple flowers. This is a H. rupifraga / ‘Shining Tot’ cross. Said to have been hybridized in 1987, introduced in 1995 and registered in 1999. I remember buying it from a grower in southern Vermont who at the time couldn’t remember where he bought it. I know I paid too much at the time as it was one of the first with red scapes but I wanted it.
