Hosta Powder Blue
Peter Ruh ’98. I first saw this in a Maine garden three years ago and bought a couple. I admired the large, intensely blue leaves that were corrugated and crinkled with a slight ripple along the edge. When I first saw the plant, slugs “were in season” but this hosta was free of any. The pale lavender flowers on 36″ scapes stood above the blue which held my attention. A good grower. Nice specimen in display garden by big willow. Limited Availability. Field Dug from Display Gardens….maybe. No mail order available.
