Hosta Paradigm

Walden West/Chuck Purtymun 1999. A sport of Abiqua Recluse. Large gold leaves within a dark blue-green margin. Great corrugation and substance. In the first year, chartreuse is the predominant color and appears to have taken over the plant but by year two the blue-green appears and the margin becomes very obvious. Pale lavender flowers arrive on 28″scapes. Moderate corrugation is a strong point both as the overall image and the fact that insect pests of any kind steer away. It was awarded Hosta of the Year in 2007 and was the Alex J. Summers Distinguished Merit Award winner in 2010. This is a beauty of a hosta, a real attention-getter and we sell out of stock about every year.
