John Machen, Jr. 1994. A White Christmas sport. A medium-large hosta with a green edge around a bold, distinct, white center.  12″ long, pointed leaves, 2″ wide. More solid green leaves grow later in the summer, producing more food to compensate for the % of white leaves. 30″ scapes with red speckles have lavender flowers. Keep the area moist to cut down on insects and slugs and treat accordingly. When you see this as a potted plant, I doubt you can appreciate now nice a mature clump in your garden will look.
