Tony Avent 1995. An open-pollinated seedling from  ‘Sum and Substance’.  Wide, heart-shaped leaves appear as dull green but then change to a chartreuse-gold-green color. Then 22″ tall scapes appear, black in color, with medium, lavender flowers. The pollinators were busy I guess. George says “As I look at the two hostas, extra large Sum and Substance and then the so much smaller LBS, I just ask “How’d that happen?”
