Hosta Lemon Lime

Bob Savory 1977. A nakaiana seedling. This small hosta is bright yellow in the spring and then fades to chartreuse by mid-June.  Wavy, lance-shaped leaves. 16″-20″ tall scapes with lots of purple flowers. This is a vigorous grower which is why we suggest interplanting it in a large initial hosta display where the large and extra large hosta will not fill in for years but all the space needs to be occupied. Once the large hosta become established, the Lemon Lime can be dug, divided, replanted, or gifted. It is also useful for growing long garden borders, planting in containers including tuffa, or adding to rock gardens, fairy gardens or miniature hosta gardens.
