Hudson Bay, that giant body of Canadian water, is also the name of Walters Gardens 2012 introduction which is a sport of their 2002 introduction named Eskimo Pie. I was excited when I bought Eskimo Pie around 2007 but there was more green than I expected. Hudson Bay is a different affair. This medium hosta is in the 24″ tall by 32″ wide range–often a bit wider in time. The scapes are +26″ tall and there is good production of creamy white blooms. The leaves have a wide, green-blue edge and a creamy yellow leaf interior. The picture is from Walters Gardens collection of pictures for wholesaler’s use.
