Bonnie Ruetenik/Kevin Walek 1996. A ‘Great Expectations’ sport. Flat, round to broadly heart-shaped leaves, +7″ across and +8″ long, slightly cupped with some puckering and twisting as seen with ‘Great Expectations’.  Very dark blue with a central streak of creamy pale yellow. From leaf to leaf there is much variation in the brushstroke-like yellow. White flowers just above leaf level. As much as we enjoy and sell Dream Weaver, visitors walking the display garden see Thunderbolt too and prefer that over DW. Our problem is we never have enough Thunderbolt.
