Dave Talbot owned a nursery with his wife in Hartland, Vermont. I used to stop by and see him when I was down in that area and I’d try to buy hostas for what at the time was my collection. Over by his house was one of the nicest displays of Sagae I have ever seen. It was gigantic!  Dave would give me plants once in a while and on one visit he gave this unnamed hosta reflective of the Tiaras. I liked it from the start. Dave died tragically at his home and as a memory I started calling his gift  Dave Talbot’s Tiara. I have never sold it, but over time have given pieces away to people in the same manner of friendship he shared with me.
