Hosta Brother Stephen $24
Olga Petryszyn 1998. Origin: ‘King Tut’ x (x ‘Mildred Seaver’). Thick, heavily corrugated golden foliage almost like a maple leaf pattern is then edged with a medium green/chartreuse and then a deep green border. The texture and puckering are said to derive from ‘King Tut’. 24″ tall scapes with compact white flowers contrast with the three leaf colors. Someplace in our display garden I planted ‘King Tut’ and ‘Mildred Seaver’ to give an idea of what was involved in such a beautiful plant as Brother Stephen. These are two hostas that got lost in the floods…..but….who knows??…2025 is two years later than the first flood so maybe just maybe they will reappear someplace. We have a good supply of Brother Stephen if you are interested.
