Alan Bloom 1984. Origin: A sieboldiana hybrid. Very large, rounded, heart shaped blue-green leaves, finely ribbed, cupped, puckered. As it matures 32″-36″ tall scapes produce near white flowers. By years 4-5 this becomes an extra large plant so plan accordingly when initially planting and keep it well watered. Try not to plant in proximity to conifers with their shallow, extensive roots, or under large trees that will compete for moisture and nutrients.
