Daylily Sunday Gloves

LeBegue-Rogers 1985. 28″ tall scapes. 5.25″ blooms, near white with a pale yellow throat. Dormant. Diploid. Very Fragrant. Is a rebloomer beginning early to mid-season and continuing. Parentage includes White Formal which we grow. If you grow daylilies, chances are that someone asked you “Can you name a good white?” There are lots of “almosts” out there to the point that Stuart Kendig recently summarized a chart in the Winter 2021 issue of The Daylily Journal. Stuart classifies whites on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being pure white meaning a clear white that is whiter than Group 2 Gentle Shepherd. Kendig has left Group 1 empty meaning we’re still looking for that really special, all-white, pure white. He classified Sunday Gloves as a Group 3 daylily,  i.e., “Comparatively white, but not as white as Group 2, for example, Gentle Shepherd. The White Formal (G. Lenington 1965) involved in the Sunday Gloves parentage is ranked as a Group 5 Diploid. We are currently sold out of Sunday Gloves but should have some small divisions by Fall 2022 with flowering single and double potted plants by Spring 2023.
