Daylily Sandra Elizabeth

D. Stevens 1983. 30″ tall scapes. 6″ deep lemon yellow bloom that’s just great for late summer color. Dormant. Tetraploid. This is a slow grower but once it clumps up the blooms work ever so well with Vermont’s autumn color. Very late…perhaps the latest yellow daylily to bloom here . Winner of two awards from the American Hemerocallis Society. It apparently is not often grown anymore because when gardeners find that we have it they want to buy multiple pots. We have to limit sales to one pot/customer and have run out two years running. If you come across a source, please let us know.
