Oakes 1984. 32″-34″ tall, thick scapes. 7″ blooms, candle red color with goldy-yellow throat. Dormant. Tetraploid. Winner of three awards from the American Hemerocallis Society. This is a Mid -Season bloomer that often still flowers to Labor Day. If you enjoy the height, color and vigorous growth, plant it with Griesbach-Khlem’s Ruby Throat which blooms a little later and will carry the color through your gardens longer.
