R. Ellison 1994. 32″ tall scapes. 5″ velvety red blooms with yellow to green throat and slight edge. Dormant. Tetraploid. Mid-season bloom continues into late August/early September if kept watered. We have a wide row in the lower propagation field adjacent to the hosta display garden and have to divide and pot plants from there every year to keep up with demand. This is a basic, very dependable red with abundant blooms.
