Daylily Late Summer Breeze
Nick Barth 1999. 48″ tall scapes with 6.75″ lemon yellow blooms with green throats. Dormant. Diploid. 20 buds, 6 branches. End of mid-season through late season. These are wonderful daylilies because their height affords appropriate placement in the middle or back of any garden, their lemon color and fragrance are very special…… and….. they add color to any garden past the end of September unless there is an early, surprisingly cold, cold freeze. Visitors to VFF spot Late Summer Breeze in the lower daylily propagation field adjacent to the hosta display garden and ask for it. We have trouble keeping up with production and even with Covid when you might think sales were down, we sold out. Part of that is George likes anything tall and he always promotes it. In propagation for 2024. None available. Sorry!
