Daylily Lady Grosvenor

Barth 1983. 34″-36″ tall, thick scapes, 6″ blooms, creamy pink with a small, very pale green throat. Dormant foliage type. Tetraploid. A midseason grower with good endurance. The Barth daylilies began in Alna, Maine. Dr Joseph Barth was the hybridizer who lived and farmed with his family from a large old homestead in the bottom of a valley. I visited the farm in 2000. Looking down the valley towards the farm was a wonderful sight as the entire hillside was planted in row upon row of daylilies, meticulously planted and well cared for. Even with the changes brought on to our climate in recent years, the Barth daylilies are made for New England. They can handle wind and rain and subzero temperatures. They are vigorous growers and are sure to please.
