Daylily King George
Rasmussen 1991. 34″ tall scapes. 7.5″ blooms, huge, yellow with a wine-colored eye. Semi-Evergeen. Tetraploid. This is a vigorous grower that stands out in the distance. Production never seems to match interest in it but we try. If you cannot find any in pots we have some lined out. Just ask about current availability. When George was about 12 he raised a Holstein bull he named King George. The daylily is much more dependable than the bull was. The bull got stung by a bee one day and was found down the road a mile and a half, still running, still dragging 30 feet of chain. King George is only available at the farm in 2024, potted in the retail area and a few available field dug when the pots are sold out. $24.
