Benz 1991. 32″-36″ tall scapes. 5.5″ orange blooms that turn heads. Has heavily ruffled petals and a darker reddish halo. Dormant. Tetraploid. Nocturnal. Mid-season through late season bloom. A great daylily to plant as a follow up to Alabama Jubilee, another orange that ends its bloom just as Fire King begins to bloom. Then add Lady Lucille and then own three orange daylilies blooming in succession–all orange but all different.
