Daylily Early Snow

Stamile 1996. 32″ tall scapes. 7″ “white” blooms with green throats, and a very nice edge. Dormant. Tetraploid . Fragrant. Blooms and then more blooms. As the plant matures the scapes bend to the side surrounding the main plant and they look like open arms with plenty of blooms. Hybridizer Stuart Kendig from Pennsylvania began a classification program in 2015 to assess daylilies that might be considered white. He placed each in a catagory from 1-5 based upon purity of color. Early Snow was placed in Category 4. “Near white but with an obvious color shade when viewed from near”.
