Sellers 1994. 26-28″ tall scapes, 5″ bloom, red with slightly darker eye zone above a green throat. Dormant. Tetraploid. Rebloomer. Mid-season bloomer onward. Won AHS Honorable Mention in 2006. I once read that of the half million daylilies, registered and unregistered, approximately 90,000 are some shade of red. That’s hard to sort out since I guess pink could be a shade of red but regardless that’s still a lot of reds. I’m thinking of making a garden with every red daylily we grow and sell. Ruby Throat is probably my favorite.
