Daylily Autumn Red
Nesmith 1941. An old-fashioned, rusty red daylily, a Dormant that clumps quickly. Not for everyone but as an example there’s an old house in St. Johnsbury, Vermont where it has been used as a kept border around the entire front lawn. Just imagine a “hedge” of daylilies almost 3 feet tall in late August. I never pot any but will dig clumps if you ask ahead of time. No digging during the month of July.
