Daylily Barbara Bauman is a year 2000 registration by Nick Barth of Barth Daylilies, originally located at the farm in Alna, Maine.  The dormant, tetraploid grows to 34″ tall, has 4-way branching and 26 buds. It is a red-purple mix with a pale red watermark above a yellow-green throat. The 7″ blooms open midseason. Parentage includes Vanessa Barth X Charles Johnston. We have grown Charles Johnston since 1985 and now grow it in our display garden. Barbara Bauman has been very popular and is in propagation during the 2024 season.
