Hydrangea Little Quickfire.
A Paniculata type. An earlier blooming hydrangea with abundant lacecap, white blooms that quickly change to deep burgundy red. This hydrangea matures to 3 feet by 5 feet tall and wide but can be trimmed as a pyramid which we have done with one in the daylily display garden. During fall pruning you can also leave some of the front, outward facing/growing stems at ground level and trim the plant upward so that the following spring the stems will look like someone opening their hands from which a flow of branches, longer to shorter offer themselves upward to the top. Difficult to describe, wonderful to experience! No mail order on hydrangeas. Photos are courtesy of Proven Winners.
