Hosta Satisfaction
Chick Wasitis/Bridgewood Gardens 2000. A Piedmont Gold sport. Everyone loves this hosta. I remember so well meeting Rick Sawyer at Fernwood in Maine (Swanville back then, Montville now) in September 2001. He said that if I was interested in hydridizing, Piedmont Gold was a “must have” hosta. I bought it that day and have grown it ever since. Satisfaction is a dark green hosta with a golden-yellow, wavy, somewhat rippled, sometimes irregular edge that takes about 1/3d of the leaf size. The scapes are 32″-36″ tall over time with pale lavender flowers.
