Wild 1977. 32″ tall scapes. 4.5″ velvety, dark red with small yellow throat. Ruffled petals.  Dormant. Diploid. Mid-Season bloomer. This is a vigorous grower  and works well with collections of other reds such as Red Volunteer, Ruby Thorat, Rooten Tooten Red, Little Red Treat.
