Daylily Little Skipper
Wild 1965. 26″-28″ tall scapes. Thick foliage. 3.5″ blooms. Gold self. Dormant. Diploid. Mid-season bloomer. High bud count. Skipper is also the common name for a number of small butterflies that “skip” from flower to flower. Look for them if you visit our flower farm. When young, wanna-be hybridizers visit, I give them one of these to serve as an example of branching and bud count which is surprising from 1965.
