Grovatt 1973. 46″ tall scapes. 8″ goldy yellow blooms with green throats at the beginning of the season, slightly smaller flowers by mid-August. Blooms in lesser numbers continue through most all of September. Dormant foliage type. Diploid. Mid-season through late-season bloom. We are always surprised by how early the blooms begin here. The scapes are slender and curve a bit but the flowers truly catch your attention. Some gardeners say “I don’t want any more orange!”  but this spider is exceptional.
