Daylily Cedar Waxwing $19
Griesbach & Klehm 1979. 34″ tall, strong, thick scapes to carry blooms with plenty of substance. 6″ rosy-pink blend and abundant bloom, mid-season into late season. It’s not uncommon to see blooms at Labor Day here, often with Cherry Cheeks as a bloom companion. This is another in a series by these two hybridizers–all with bird names. We used to have quite a collection because of our interest in birds and birding. We have Cedar Waxwings at our home and also at the flower farm. Often when seed plants and vines are maturing along the river at the farm, the Cedar Waxwings are joined by Bohemian Waxwings, another beauty. We are creating a short bird walk along the Winooski River for those interested in the birds that frequent there.
