Daylily Little Red Treat
Nick Barth 2011. 24″-25″ tall. 3.75″ blooms dark red with a darker red halo and green-yellow throat. Dormant. Tetraploid. 26 buds. 5 branches. Blooms mid-season through late season here. Plant alternately with Little Amethyst along walkways or driveways. The AHS registration lists parentage as “unknown’. As with Little Amethyst, Little Red Treat is on our list of smaller daylilies that can be considered for use in cemeteries where plant height and heat tolerance must be factored. Ask about availability in 2024. There may be some ready for sale in early August.
