Hosta Maple Leaf
Eldren Minks 1972. A sport of Frances Williams. Large green leaves, heavily corrugated, with a variable chartreuse to gold margin that appears to be influenced in size and color by seasonal sunlight. Scapes mature at 28″-30″ with near white flowers. Appropriate to Vermont with its maples, maple syrup, and fall foliage that is most colorful because of maple trees/leaves. A large plant with less scorching than many other hostas that have Frances Williams heritage. There’s a specimen in the display garden on the right entering from the bridge.
